Insert your MC3 device into an available USB port on your Remote Asset.

The lights on your MC3 device will turn on indicating that the device is starting up. After a few moments the password definition screen will appear.

1. Create your MobiNET password

Create a case-sensitive password that has a minimum of 8 characters.

Click "Next"

Note: For security reasons, your password cannot be retrieved by Route1. During any MobiKEY session, you will have a limited number of attempts to successfully enter your password before the MC3 device is locked.

2. End-User License Agreement (EULA)

Scrolling the license text to the bottom of the document will activate the "Accept" button. If you agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement, click "Accept" to begin the registration process.

Note: Declining the EULA or clicking "Exit" during the registration process terminates the application and the MobiKEY account will NOT be registered.

3. License Key Entry

Enter the License Key and click "Next".

4. Your Account Details **

** If your system administrator has already configured your account using Enterprise Registration, you will not see these screens - skip to step 6.

Enter your user information.

Click "Next".

Enter your contact information.

Click "Next".

5. Password Reset

If your domain supports Password Reset you will be asked to enroll during registration. You may choose to skip this step and enroll at a later time. To enroll in Password Reset, you will be asked to provide a set of security questions and answers. These questions will be used to verify your identity during support calls involving Password Reset.

Click "Next".

Click "Next".

6. Receive your MobiNET ID

Route1 generates your MobiNET ID, confirming your subscription.

On a Remote Asset running Windows, if you typed in your account details during registration (Enterprise Registration was not used), you can click "Continue" to begin associating this MobiKEY device with a Host.

On a Remote Asset running Mac OS X, Linux, or if Enterprise Registration was used, clicking "Continue" will take you to the Host list screen. To pair with a Host, see "Pairing your MobiKEY device with a Remote Host" for instructions.

To close this application, click "Exit". You can create an association with a Host at a later date.

7. Pair with a Host

[Windows Only] To pair your MC3 device with the local Asset, select "This computer". If you choose "Another remote computer", you will need to follow the steps outlined in the "Pairing your MobiKEY device with a Remote Host" section in this guide.

8. Install the MobiNET Agent software (requires administrator rights)

Click "Install" to initiate the wizard and follow the prompts.

When the wizard is complete, click "Finish".

9. Configure and Enable the Host

Create a name that will help you easily identify your Host (i.e. Home Computer, Work Computer). This is the name that will appear in your MobiKEY Host list.

Note: For a Host to be accessible with the MC3 device, it must be powered on and connected to the Internet.

Click "Next". A screen will appear confirming the pairing. You will then be asked to reboot your Host.

The pairing process will be complete once the Host has finished the booting sequence.

Congratulations! You can now access the Host from any Internet-enabled Remote Asset, anywhere in the world.

10. Accessing a Host from a Remote Asset

Insert your MC3 device into any Internet-enabled Remote Asset.

Click "No" if you are asked to reboot the Remote Asset due to new hardware found.

The Login Screen appears.

Enter your password (created in step #1).

Select the Host you wish to access from the list provided (created in step #7).

Click "Connect".

11. Ending your MobiKEY Session

While in a MobiKEY session, move your mouse to the top middle portion of your screen to display the MobiKEY session taskbar, and click the "X".

Note: Depending on your version of the MobiKEY application software not all of the items shown may be visible.

Click "Exit" to shutdown the application.

You can now safely remove the MC3 device from the USB port of the Remote Asset.
