MobiNET®: How is it secure?
Security is the cornerstone of Route1’s solution. MobiNET takes care of the authentication, entitlement and offers the identity-based access to help you simplify your security and information assurance infrastructure.
MobiNET uses a multilayer approach, combining the strength of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution with the trust and flexibility of two-factor authentication to create a platform that meets the stringent security mandates established by governments, militaries, financial institutions, enterprises, and health services.
Route1 simplifies the access component with Route1 MobiKEY® as the identity validation device, while MobiNET universally manages the identities of users and entitlement to digital resources.
All components are authenticated using digital certificates which prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. Encrypted keystrokes and screen images are transferred between the Host, MobiKEY and Guest machines using an end-to-end SSL connection. All data and applications continue to reside on the Host computer, behind the organization’s firewall.
Identity-based Access: Just one of many services that leverage MobiNET's information assurance framework

Remote computer connecting to host computer using TruOFFICE™ service
In order to access digital resources remotely, the user must first register a Host computer with MobiNET by installing the MobiNET Agent on a Windows-based PC - the MobiNET Agent can be installed and activated on multiple Host computers. MobiNET manages the user's identity and registered resources that the user is authorized to access by issuing digital X.509 certificates.
