MobiNET - Identity and Entitlement Management Platform

The core of Route1’s business is MobiNET, an identity assurance and entitlement management platform that provides enterprises with both high security and adaptability. It combines the strength of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution with the trust and flexibility of two-factor authentication, creating a platform that enables remote network access while meeting the most stringent security requirements of business, government and the military.

The MobiNET platform’s identity management is driven by the identity of the person, not the device they are using or where the data is housed. By consistently and accurately authenticating identity, the MobiNET platform reduces the burden of securing access - which allows IT managers to focus on managing what the individual is authorized to access and what they can do with the data.

How it works

The MobiNET platform simplifies an organization’s security and information assurance infrastructure. To access digital resources remotely, a user first registers a Host computer or computers with the MobiNET platform by installing the MobiNET Agent on a Windows-based PC. The user can then use Route1’s MobiKEY device as a unique identity validation device from a Guest computer, while the MobiNET platform universally manages the identities of users and entitlement to digital resources.

All components are authenticated using digital X.509 certificates which prevent security breaches. Encrypted keystrokes and screen images are transferred between the Host, the MobiKEY device and Guest machines using an end-to-end SSL connection. The MobiKEY device provides identity assurance only; it cannot store data. All data and applications continue to reside on the Host computer, behind the organization’s firewall.
