The team's solid track record in developing, marketing and supporting world-class products that meet the needs of both business and individual users is supported by the team's passion for information technology, networking and security.

Tony Busseri: President and Chief Executive Officer

Tony Busseri leads the management team in executing on its strategic vision. Mr. Busseri is an entrepreneurial executive with a track record for driving results and shareholder value. He is committed to delivering Route1 solutions to customers and advancing excellence in the organization.

Mr. Busseri is a principal of Growth Equity Partners (“GEP”), a full service business advisory firm.  His focus is to support small to medium sized private and publicly listed companies execute transformational business initiatives. His services include: operational improvement and restructuring, corporate finance, transaction advisory, capital markets advisory, professional directorship and governance, and proxy contest/corporate dispute resolution. Previously, Mr. Busseri served as a member of the board of directors, president and chief executive officer of EnGlobe Corp. from 2004 to 2008, and chairman of the board of directors, president and chief executive officer of Waste Services Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Busseri currently serves on the board of directors of Augen Capital Corp. (chairman of the audit committee) and Route1. Mr. Busseri is a graduate of the honours business administration program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and holds a certified management accountant designation.

Brian Brunetti: Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Brian Brunetti is responsible for managing operations at Route1.  Mr. Brunetti is a performance-driven leader focused on driving change, accountability and excellence. With a team-oriented management style and a strong belief in communication to ensure organizational focus and commitment to shared goals, he is committed to delivering Route1 solutions to customers with a focus on quality assurance, staying on budget and meeting client timelines.  Mr. Brunetti’s responsibilities include product development, product commercialization and deployment, marketing, client services and quality assurance.

Prior to joining Route1, Mr. Brunetti was the Executive Vice President of AGAT Laboratories from 2009 to 2010; Senior Vice President of Corporate Development with EnGlobe Corp., from 2003 to 2008; and Director of Operations of C.D. Sonter Management Inc., from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Brunetti possesses a joint Bachelor of Management and Engineering (Civil Discipline) from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business and the Faculty of Engineering from McMaster University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.

Jerry Iwanski: Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Jerry Iwanski is the technology visionary behind Route1’s MobiNET platform, enabling entitlement-based access to corporate digital resources. Mr. Iwanski has devised and architected the MobiNET platform that is sold to enterprises and governments around the globe. He has led the development teams responsible for Route1’s suite of information assurance and identity management solutions. Mr. Iwanski brings 18 years of experience in business management, software and technical project management and delivery, and information technology.

Prior to joining Route1, Mr. Iwanski was the principal consultant at Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), the utility that manages Ontario's electricity system and operates the wholesale electricity market. Mr. Iwanski was responsible for the architecture, deployment and operation of IESO’s portfolio of systems. Previously, Mr. Iwanski owned a successful technology consulting and system integration company, with expertise in leading-edge video and voice delivery technologies, and advanced telecommunication systems and infrastructures. His career also includes tenure at Delrina, Symantec, SHL Systemhouse, and Fujitsu Consulting.

Gus Pergantis: Vice President, Finance and Administration and Corporate Treasurer

Gus Pergantis is responsible for the financial management at Route1.  In this role, he oversees planning, control, reporting and administration. Mr. Pergantis brings over 22 years of industry accounting experience from the technology, retail, distribution, foodservice and catalogue sales business.

Mr. Pergantis was the chief financial officer of the publicly traded Income Fund, Prime Restaurants of Canada, where he provided strategic financial direction and global financial management. He served as secretary of the board of directors and disclosure committee member.  Previously, Mr. Pergantis managed internal audit at Aramark Canada.  He was instrumental in the design and implementation of audit control modules, and monitored compliance to company policies and procedures.  He was also responsible for reviewing and performing operational, corporate, supplier, and systems’ audits.  Mr. Pergantis is a member of the Certified General Accountants of Canada and a certified electronic engineering technologist.

Yamian Quintero: Chief Scientist and Director of Applied Research

As chief scientist and director of applied research at Route1, Yamian Quintero leads the teams responsible for developing a number of core technologies for Route1 MobiNET and other related products and services. He is also responsible for expanding the company's intellectual property portfolio. Mr. Quintero brings over 10 years of information security experience in the fields of cryptography, identity management, security protocols and smart card technology.

Prior to joining Route1, Mr. Quintero was a senior cryptographic developer with Kasten Chase Applied Research. In this role, he was the lead cryptographic engine developer and played a key role in developing a hardware-based cryptographic accelerator. Previously, Mr. Quintero held positions as systems architect, project leader, and security researcher responsible for designing and implementing a public key cryptosystem that is used today by a national certification authority. Mr. Quintero acquired extensive knowledge in the use and deployment of smart cards, and was involved in the development of a toll collection and electronic purse system. Among Mr. Quintero's innovative academic assignments is the development of an automatic theorem proof in the graphs theory field. Mr. Quintero is an accomplished writer, and his byline has appeared in numerous journals and trade publications on smart card technologies and cryptographic techniques.

Tanieu Tan: Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Tanieu Tan leads the brand strategy to develop domestic and international markets for Route1's secure identity and access management solutions. Mrs. Tan has more than a decade of experience in marketing technology solutions to service providers and enterprises.

Prior to joining Route1, Mrs. Tan was the manager of strategic communications at Sandvine where she was responsible for promoting Sandvine's broadband solutions to service providers around the globe through marketing programs and media and analyst relations. Previously, Mrs. Tan developed her telecommunications focus through various roles at Nortel Networks, Alcatel-Lucent and Mitel Corporation. Mrs. Tan holds graduate of the honours business administration program at Wilfrid Laurier University and holds an international business certificate from National Sun-Yat Sun University in Taiwan.

K. Andrew White: Founder and Vice Chairman

K. Andrew White is the technology visionary behind Route1’s technology.  He plays a key role in business development and is committed to enabling government, defense and enterprise customers with identity-based services that allow them to securely connect to their digital resources from anywhere in the world. Mr. White brings 15 years of entrepreneurial business experience in technology, specializing in design and product integration, while addressing business needs with technology. Andrew founded three businesses in security applications and networking since 1995. Prior to founding companies, he was the manager of information systems at Delrina, which was acquired by Symantec. Andrew also established a Software Testing Facility for the Ontario Research Foundation. He is a frequent speaker and has published several articles on technology and security.  Mr. White is a member of Route1’s board of directors.
